V ers. 30. — Non recedet de tenebris. 54. Quia lucem justitiae non quaerit, de tenebris non recedit. — Si superbus iste a culpa ad justitiam re- dire voluisset, de tenebris recederet. Sed quia lucem justitiae non quaerit, de tenebris non recedit. Cujus etiam exemplo bi qui ei adhaerent in terrenis pro- fectibus anhelant, avaritiae facibus accenduntur, de- sideriorum carnalium ignibus uruntur. Unde et subditur:
第30節——他必不能脫離黑暗。54. 因他不尋求公義的光，就不能脫離黑暗。——這驕傲人若肯從過犯回轉歸向公義，就必脫離黑暗。但因他不尋求公義的光，就不能脫離黑暗。並且，那些依附他的人也照他的樣式，切慕屬地的利益，被貪婪的火把點燃，被肉體私慾的火燒灼。故此又接著說：
Verse 30.—He shall not depart out of darkness. 54. Because he does not seek the light of justice, he does not depart out of darkness.—If this proud man had wished to return from fault to justice, he would depart out of darkness. But because he does not seek the light of justice, he does not depart out of darkness. By whose example also those who cleave to him pant after earthly gains, are kindled with the torches of avarice, and are burned with the fires of carnal desires. Whence it is also added:
