33. Non solum divinæ, sed etiam humanæ. - Quid in c comestione panis nisi cbariLaS, quid vero motione capitis, nisi admiratio designatur ? Bene autem subditur: Percu8si enim maerorem consolari est ei post percussionem de venia congaudere. Nam quanto quisque de restituta proximi salute cernitur bilaroscere, tanto se indicat de ablata doluisse.
二十二、不僅是神聖的安慰，也有人的安慰。——藉吃餅所表明的，豈非愛德；藉搖頭所表明的，豈非驚奇？經上又適當地加上說：「因為他們安慰了他。」安慰那受擊打的人，就是在擊打之後為那赦免與他一同歡喜。因為人愈顯出為鄰人所復得的安康而歡樂，就愈顯明他曾為那被奪去的而憂傷。
22. Not only divine, but also human consolation. — What is designated by the eating of bread except charity, and what by the shaking of the head except admiration? But well is it subjoined: For they consoled him. To console the smitten one is to rejoice together with him over the pardon after the smiting. For the more anyone is seen to grow glad over the neighbour's restored welfare, the more he shows that he had grieved over what was taken away.
