I bid. Nec contradicam sermonibus sancti. 25. Deus saepe tacitus loquitur operibus. Plerumque ad nos verba Dei non sunt dictorum sonitus, sed ef- fectus operationum. In eo enim nobis loquitur quod erga nos tacitus operatur. Beatus igitur Job sermo- nibus Dei contradiceret, si de ejus percussionibus murmuraret. Sed quid de percussore suo sentiat, in- dicat, qui (sicut jam diximus) quem ferientem tolerat, sanctum vocat. Sequitur:

But what he feels concerning his own smiter, he indicates, who (as we have already said) calls Him whom he endures as striker, holy. There follows:
