Sapientia per vivendi usum et experientiam con- firmatur.—Illa enim dicta in sapientiae radice solida(??)a sunt, quae per vivendi usum etiam actuum experi- mento convalescunt. Sed quia multis et longior vita tribuitur, et sapientiae gratia non confertur, recte adhuc in cujus judicio ipsa dona pendeant demonstra- tur, dum subditur:
第十二節。——年老的有智慧，日子多的有見識。十、智慧藉生活的操練與經歷得以堅固。——因為那些在智慧根基上穩固的話語，乃是藉著生活的操練並行為的驗證而愈發剛強的。但因為許多人雖蒙賜較長的壽數，卻不得智慧的恩典，經上恰當地又顯明這些恩賜究竟繫於誰的判定，接著說：
Verse 12. — In the ancient is wisdom, and in length of time prudence. 10. Wisdom is confirmed through the practice and experience of living. — For those sayings are solid in the root of wisdom, which grow strong through the practice of living and by the experiment of deeds. But because to many both a longer life is granted, and the grace of wisdom is not conferred, rightly it is still shown in whose judgment these very gifts hang, while it is subjoined:
