V ers. 25. — Scio enim quod Redemptor meus vi- vit. 67. Job Christum Redemptorem aperte praenuntiavit. — Qui enim non ait conditor, sed Redemptor, aperte eum denuntiat qui, postquam omnia creavit, ut nos de captivitate redimeret, inter nos incarnatus appa- ruit, suaque passione nos a perpetua morte liberavit. Et nofandum quanta fide se in virtute ejus divinita- tis astringat, de quo per Paulum dicitur: Quia etsi crucifixus est ex infirmitate, sed 463 vivit ex virtute Dei ( II Cor. XIII, 4). Ait namque: Scio enim quod Redemptor meus vivit. Ac si apertis vocibus dicat:

Verse 25.—'For I know that my Redeemer liveth.' 67. Job openly foretold Christ the Redeemer.—For he who says not 'Creator,' but 'Redeemer,' openly announces Him who, after He had created all things, that He might redeem us from captivity, appeared among us made incarnate, and by His own Passion freed us from perpetual death. And it is to be noted with how great faith he binds himself in the power of His divinity, concerning whom it is said by Paul: 'For although He was crucified through weakness, yet He liveth by the power of God' (2 Cor. xiii, 4). For he says: 'For I know that my Redeemer liveth.' As if he said in open voice:

Infidelis quisque illum flagellatum, derisum, palmis caesum, corona spinea coronatum, sputis illitum, crucifixum, mortuum noverit; ego illum post mor- tem vivere f certa fide credo, libera voce profiteor, quia Redemptor meus vivit, qui inter impiorum ma- nus occubuit. Sed quid, beate Job, per resurrectio- nem illius etiam de tuae carnis resurrectione confidis, aperta, quaeso, voce profitere. Sequitur:
讓每一個不信的人認為祂受了鞭打、被戲弄、被手掌摑打、戴上荊棘冠冕、被吐唾沫、被釘十字架、死了；我卻以確實的信德相信祂在死後活著，我以自由的聲音承認這事——因為我的救贖主活著，祂曾死在不敬虔之人的手中。但蒙福的約伯啊，你既藉祂的復活，也對你自己肉身的復活有把握，我求你，用明明的話承認出來吧。接著說：
Let every unbeliever have known Him scourged, mocked, smitten with palms, crowned with a crown of thorns, defiled with spittle, crucified, dead; I with sure faith believe Him to live after death, with free voice I profess it—because my Redeemer liveth, who lay dead among the hands of the impious. But do thou, blessed Job, since through His resurrection thou art also confident concerning the resurrection of thine own flesh, profess it, I pray, with open voice. There follows:
