I bid. — Immutabis faciem ejus, et emittes eum. 25. Hominis in morte quanta mutatio. — Facies hominis immutatur cum ejus species morte atteritur. Emittitur vero, quia ab his quae volens tenuit transire ad aeterna cogitur nolens; dumque ad illa perducitur, haec quae diu cogitata tenuit qualiter sese habitura sint relicta nescit. Unde et additur.
同節。——「祢必改變他的容貌，打發他離去。」25. 人在死亡中有何等大的改變。——人的容貌被改變，就是當他的形貌被死亡磨滅之時。他被打發離去，因為他從那些他甘願持守之物被迫不情願地過渡到永遠之事；當他被領往那些事時，他並不知道這些他長久思念持守之物，在被撇下之後將如何。因此又加上說：
Same place. — You will change his face, and send him away. 25. How great a change there is for man in death. — The face of man is changed when his form is worn away by death. But he is sent away, because from those things which he willingly held he is compelled unwillingly to pass to things eternal; and while he is led to those things, he does not know how these things, which he long held in his thoughts, will fare when left behind.
