I bid. — Quod si non ille est, quis ergo est? 45. Ac si aperte diceretur: Quis unquam impius esse putandus est, si ille populus, qui ipsam pietatem persecutus est, impius non est? Sed considerata vir nanctus Judaicae plebis perfidia, ad semetipsum men- tis oculos revocat; dolet quod videre nequeat quem amat; moerore afficitur, quia ex praesenti mundo ante subtrahitur quam salus mundi reveletur. Unde et subdit:
