Loquendi genus Job parabolicum et mysticum.Quo profecto versu ostenditur hujus sanctissimi viri dicta quam mystice sint prolata, dum parabola, id est similitudo assumpta narratur ab eo qui nihil inferius per comparationem vel similitudinem loquitur. Absit enim ne boc loco patabolam illud musicæ a organum sentiamus. Nequeenim fas esi credere quod in afflitione poenarum musieis uteretur, cum per Scripturam suam veritas dicat: Musica in luclu importuna narratio est (Eccli. xxn, 6). Nominata ergo parabola, ecce b textu ipso loquente jam discimus, ne justa textum tantummodo ejus verba pensemus. Ad eam itaque similitudinem cuncta trahenda sunt qua figurate Ecclesia designatur.
一、約伯說話的方式是寓言性與奧祕性的。正是這節經文顯明這位至聖之人的話語是何等奧祕地陳明的，因為所謂比喻，就是取用的一種象徵，是由那位在比較或類比中絕不說卑下之言的人所敘述的。因為在此處，斷不可將這比喻理解為那種樂器。因為斷不可相信他在痛苦的患難中會使用樂器，既然真理藉著祂自己的經文說：「憂傷之時奏樂，如不合時宜的話語」（德訓篇二十二6）。所以，既然題到比喻，看哪，我們從說話的經文本身已然學到，不要僅按字面去衡量他的話語。因此，一切都當引向那藉以象徵地指明教會的類比。
i. Job's manner of speaking is parabolic and mystical. By this very verse it is shown how mystically the sayings of this most holy man were set forth, since a parable, that is, a similitude, is taken up as narrated by one who says nothing lowly by way of comparison or likeness. For far be it from us to understand in this place the parable to be that instrument of music. For it is not lawful to believe that amid the affliction of his sufferings he would use musical instruments, since through his own Scripture the Truth says: «Music in mourning is an unseasonable tale» (Ecclus. 22:6). Therefore, since a parable is named, behold, from the very text as it speaks we already learn not to weigh his words merely according to the text. And so all things are to be drawn to that similitude by which the Church is figuratively designated.

Et in ipsoquidem locutionis exordio dicta aperte prolata sunt, sed subjunctis obscurioribus implicantur. Nam plana, ut solet, locutione inchoat; sed verba sua per mysticos sensus gravida narratione consumAt. Itaque ait:
