V ers. 6. Qui commovet terram de loco suo, et columnae ejus concutientur. 291 7. Judaeorum dispersio praedicitur.—De loco quippe suo terra commota est cum plebs Israelitica, de Judaeae finibus evulsa, nimirum colla gentibus subdidit, quia subdi auctori recusavit. Quae scilicet terra columnas habuit, quia in sacerdotes et princi- pes, legis doctores atque Pharisaeos, ruitura ejus d pertinaciae structura surrexit. In ipsis namque litterae aedificium tenuit, et tranquillitatis suae tempore, sa- crificiorum carnalium quasi superimpositae fabricae onera portavit. Sed translatis montibus, columnae concussae sunt, quia subductis a Judaea apostolis.
第六節——祂使地搖動離其本位，地的柱子也必震動。第七段。這預言猶太人的分散。因為地被搖動離其本位，就是當以色列民從猶太的境界被扯出，果真向外邦人俯首屈頸之時，因為他們拒絕順服其創造主。這地誠然有柱子，因為在祭司和首領、律法師和法利賽人身上，興起了它日後頑梗的結構。因為在這些人身上，字句的建築得以支撐，並在其平安的時候，擔負了肉體祭物的重擔，如同建築物加在其上的負荷。但眾山既被挪移，柱子就震動了，因為使徒既從猶太被抽離，
Verse 6: Who shakes the earth out of its place, and its pillars shall tremble. 7. The dispersion of the Jews is foretold. For the earth was shaken out of its place when the people of Israel, torn from the borders of Judaea, indeed bowed their necks to the Gentiles, because they refused to be subject to their Author. Which earth, forsooth, had pillars, because in the priests and princes, the doctors of the Law and the Pharisees, the structure of its future obstinacy arose. For in these the edifice of the letter held firm, and in the time of its tranquillity it bore the burdens of the carnal sacrifices as of a fabric set upon it. But when the mountains were removed, the pillars were shaken, because when the apostles had been withdrawn from Judaea,

Dignum quippe erat ut terrenam patriam subacti perderent, cujus amore nequaquam veriti sunt coelestis patriae milites impu- gnare. Sed expulsis sanctis doctoribus, Judaea fun- ditus e torpuit, et justo judicantis examine in erroris sui tenebris mentis oculos clausit. Unde et adhuc subditur:
那些把生命的傳道人從其中趕出的人，自己也不得住在其中。因為既然他們降服，就理當喪失那地上的家鄉——為了愛這家鄉，他們竟毫不畏懼地攻擊那屬天家鄉的兵士。但聖潔的教師既被趕出，猶太便徹底麻木，並照審判者公義的察驗，在自己錯謬的黑暗中閉上了心眼。因此接著又說：
neither were they themselves permitted to live in it, who had driven out from it the preachers of life. For it was fitting that, being subdued, they should lose the earthly country, for love of which they had by no means feared to assail the soldiers of the heavenly country. But when the holy doctors had been driven out, Judaea grew utterly torpid, and, by the just examination of the Judge, closed the eyes of its mind in the darkness of its own error. Whence it is further subjoined:
