VeRS. 47. — Nunquid qui non amat judicium sanari potest? Quomodo tu eum qui justus est in tantum condemnas ? 5i. In omnibvs quce dicimus attendendum; quid, cui, quando et quomodo dicatur. — Bonam quidem sententiam protulit, sed beato Job proferenda non fuit. In omni enim quod dicitur summopere intuendum est quid dicatur, cui dicatur, quando dicatur, quomodo dicatur. Eliu autem attendit quid diceret, sed cui diceret non attendit. Beatus quippe Job amabat judicium, 785 quia causas suas cum Domino pensare subtiliter noverat. Nec condemnaverat eum qui justus est, sed cur sine peccato percussus fuerat in dolore positus cum humilitate requirebat.
Verse 17. — Can he who does not love judgment be healed? How do you condemn so greatly him who is just? 51. In all that we say, we must attend to what, to whom, when, and how it is said. — He indeed brought forth a good sentence, but it was not to be brought forth to blessed Job. For in everything that is said, it must be most carefully regarded what is said, to whom it is said, when it is said, how it is said. But Elihu attended to what he said, yet did not attend to whom he said it. Blessed Job indeed loved judgment, because he knew how to weigh his own causes subtly with the Lord. Nor had he condemned him who is just, but, set in grief, he inquired with humility why he had been smitten without sin.
第十七節——那不愛公理的，能得醫治嗎？你怎能如此定那義者的罪呢？51. 在我們所說的一切話中，都當留意所說的是甚麼、對誰說、何時說、如何說。——他固然說出了一句好話，但不該對有福的約伯說。因為在所說的每一件事上，都當極謹慎地顧念所說的是甚麼、對誰說、何時說、如何說。以利戶只留意他所說的是甚麼，卻不留意對誰說。有福的約伯實在愛公理，因為他曉得如何精細地與主權衡自己的案情。他並未定那義者的罪，只是身處愁苦中，帶著謙卑查問自己為何無罪而受擊打。

Amat judicium quisquis vias suas subtiliter discutit, et secretarium cordis ingressus, quid Dominus ipsi tribuat, quid ipse Domino debeat pensat. Quod heatus Job quomodo non fecerat, qui tam crebra sacrifiria • in expiatione filiorum eliam pro cogitati inibus offerebat? Quia ergo Eliu dixit quod is qui judicium non amat sanari non possit, arguens beatum Job quod judicium non amaret, et quia eum qui justus est condemnasset, illico ejusdem justi, id est Domini, justitiam subdit, dicens:
He loves judgment who subtly examines his own ways, and having entered the secret chamber of the heart, weighs what the Lord bestows on him, what he himself owes to the Lord. And how had blessed Job not done this, who offered such frequent sacrifices in the expiation of his sons, even for their thoughts? Because, therefore, Elihu said that he who does not love judgment cannot be healed, accusing blessed Job that he did not love judgment, and that he had condemned him who is just, he immediately adds the justice of that same just one, namely of the Lord, saying:
