V ers. 7. — Arctabuntur gressus virtutis ejus. 11. Qui nunc in deliciis vagantur, in suppliciis arcta- buntur.—Nunc enim quasi toties virtutis suae gressus exerit, quoties a potestatis suae violentias exercet. Sed gressus virtutis ejus arctabuntur, quia vires ma- litiae illius, quas nunc in voluptate sua exhibet, post- modum poena constringit. Sequitur:
Verse 7. — The steps of his strength shall be straitened. 11. They who now roam in delights shall be straitened in torments. — For now he as it were puts forth the steps of his strength as often as he exercises the violences of his power. But the steps of his strength shall be straitened, because the forces of his malice, which he now displays in his pleasure, punishment afterward shall constrain. There follows:
