VERS. 23. — Quis poterit scrutari vias. ejus ? aut quis audet ei dicere: Operatus es iniquitatem ? 5. Judicia ejus scrutan, multo minus reprehendere nou debemus. — Ac si dicat: Cujus perscrutari actio non potest, quo pacto reprehendi potest? Nemo euim bene judicat quod ignorat. Tanto ergo debemus sub ejus judiciis silendo quiescere, quanta et rationem judiciurum illius nos cernimus non videre. Uude et bene subditur:
V. 23. — Who can search out his ways? or who dares to say to him: You have wrought iniquity? We ought by no means to search his judgments, much less to reprove them. — As if he should say: How can that be reproved whose action cannot be searched out? For no one judges well what he does not know. Therefore we ought to rest the more in silence beneath his judgments, the more we perceive that we do not see the reason of his judgments. Whence also it is well added:
第23節。——誰能查究他的道路？誰敢對他說：你行了不義？我們絕不當查究他的審判，更不當責備它。——彷彿他說：那不能被查究其作為的，怎能被責備呢？因為無人能正確判斷他所不知道的事。因此，我們越是察覺自己看不透他審判的理由，就越當在他的審判之下靜默安息。所以經上又恰當地補充說：
