The heretics call the Church's zeal fury and madness. — The heretics reckon either the zeal for righteousness, or the spiritual grace of holy preaching, not as the weight of virtue, but as the madness of fury. By which fury, forsooth, they suppose that the souls of the faithful perish, because from that very source they believe the life of the Church to perish, whence they behold her raging against them.
