I bid. — Egressusque est Satan a facie Domini. 47. Diabolus voti compos factus a facie Domini exit. — Sicut et superius dictum est, Satan a facie Domini exiit, quia ad desiderii sui vota pervenit. Quasi enim ante ipsum erat, dum propter ipsum quae male sitiebat implere non poterat.
The same place. — And Satan went forth from the face of the Lord. 47. The devil, having obtained his wish, goes out from the face of the Lord. — As was said also above, Satan went out from the face of the Lord, because he arrived at the desires of his longing. For he was as it were before Him, while on His account he could not fulfill the things he wickedly thirsted for.
同處。——撒殫就從上主面前退去。四十七、魔鬼得遂所願，便從上主面前退去。——正如上文所說，撒殫從上主面前退去，因為牠達到了自己渴望的心願。因為牠彷彿曾在祂面前，即當牠因祂而不能實現牠邪惡渴求之事時。
